Ascent Trip ReportFirst 14er! Very difficult hike given ascent and my current conditioning. Hiked with two sons, Will and Owen and 12 others related to Wills senior class (Andy, Harrison and Elliot G); Bob and Chris J); Hadley W; Bruce (Andy's Friend), Adiranne (Andy's sisters partner) and Charles(Bruce's nephew?).
Perfect weather and conditions. Started at trailhead on 82 at 615 and hiked 1 mile through woods and eventually up the ridge line. Some summitted by 930, I summited about 11. Took about 3 hours to get down. Most challenging part for me was the altitude. Could not keep my breath from the very start. Lots of fun and great memory with Will and Owen.
