Ascent Trip Report

Awoke early and drove from our regional office in Newark DE to the site using I-95 to US 202 to Naamans Creek to Ebright. It took 25 minutes to reach site from office.

I Hate drive up state highpoints and attempt to create some sort of "hike" out of any that I can, so I scouted the topo and found a nice neighborhood nearby with a conservation tract (wetland) along a public road and parked on Beautree Drive. I then walked up to HP sign (about a half mile and some 60 feet vertical) and took photo and found the broken S/W BM marker. I then walked back, got car, and drove past the tall abandoned fire tower into adjacent Mobile Home Park and drove the streets where the other candidate HPs are located; but did not leave car and tresspass on private property. Satisfied that I had driven or walked all the candidate areas without being disrespectful to the area, I called it a completed HP. The official HP recognized the state is along the public R/W of Ebright either way. I was done by 6:30 AM.
