Ascent Trip Report

Previous trip reports found gates barring the way to the towers, however there has been much development over the last few years on the new houses and we found no closed gates all the way to the towers. We drove up, parked at the red and white fire tower, and fought the bugs and heat (or rather I did and the wife read her book). The spot elevation is probably accurate as the highpoint, I tramped all about, battling all manner of insectoids. Alas, the Mylar balloon that marked the way for Dan and Fred is no longer there.
