Ascent Trip Report

Snow began in the Wirtz Basin making the rest of the hike in the snow. Ascended over a pass just below the true Headless Pass which was quite steep. Luckily I ran into a couple who had boots on that were able to kick in steps, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to make it. Coming back I found the true Headlee pass which is a bit wider but just as steep. Lots of downclimbing with the ice axe. Trail running shoes for this hike probably weren't the best.
