Ascent Trip Report

Utterly depressing hike due to the condition of the forest, completely dead due to beetles. Both lakes had clearcuts around them, just an ugly environment all around. Not recommended.

This was done in the afternoon after a Gearhart ascent, very hot with little wind.

A rockpile on the far south end of the rim appears to be every bit as high as the summit shown on the topo and at the coordinates listed above.
