Ascent Trip Report5 of us made the trek to the top of this one in the heat and really felt the last few miles as we headed back to the vehicles. However, this is one that needs special permission from the landowner and he granted us permission for hiking up to the summit of this peak, which is covered by communication towers. 14 miles (if you take the Willhite shortcut) and 3600+ feet of elevation gain in the heat made it a hard earned summit.
