Ascent Trip ReportI started from the little village of Cayambe to 3:00 PM to join the refuge at 4600 m. I packed everything and we hike to 4900 m to sleep with my and a guide. I eat some meat and I jump and sleeping bag. I feel nervous and don't close my eye all the night.
We start early (midnight) and we starting to climb on star cover ! Wonderful !!!
Everything is good during the ascencion. Slowly, I walk, and slowly I breath. I drink water and water. Gradually, we going higher 5200 m, 5600 m and 5700 m
During this ascenscion, the harder in my life, and the most famous one, I saw the most beautifull sunrise of my life !
And at this time, the wind is coming stronger and the weather change really fast, my camelback frost and get freeze. I can`t drink very well after. It's really cold and the summit of the volcano is realy close. The group take the descision to go down by security.
The most important is not only to put the peak in your bag, is to be honest with your self and take the descision to miss one peak and not the rest !
