Ascent Trip Report

After visting Ben & Jerry's icecream factory in Northern Vermont we went to the Stowe Mountain gondola and hoped for the rain to stop pouring down. It did not, but since I badly wanted to "bag the peak" and the kids badly wanted to go in the gondola, Kristina and I bought a ridiculously expensive family ticket and went up into the clouds. After arriving at the top station, I more or less jogged the Cliff Trail - which was quite fun but rather a creek - until I reached the ridge which I followed up to "the Chin". It was windy and wet and I missed my gore-tex pants, hiking boots and some good company... I still enjoyed the climb, though.
