Ascent Trip Report

We had a beautiful morning with clouds rolling in during the early afternoon. An incredible experience across a fantastic ridge. Made one mistake coming off of Mt. Adams, started down the Lowes Path, but before we figured it out we did visit Mt. Adams 4. If the peak was named and within 100 meters or so of the path, we made the extra effort to summit the peak. All in all we visited 8 ranked peaks and 6 sub-peaks. It was quite an experience with some of the greatest views from John Quincy Adams and the very quiet Mt. Clay summit. Mt. Jefferson was just covered with hikers and Mt. Washington was a complete zoo. We had to wait in a line to take a summit picture!

(GPS track from Appalachia to Mt. Washington is posted in the Mt. Madison TR. The track from Mt Washington to Route 302 is posted in the Mt. Washington TR.)
