Ascent Trip ReportWith Guy. Left at 7h45 under a warm sun from the Garden trailhead. Got just below Haysack Mountain under rain, wind, hail, thunder and lightening. Were drenched with cold hands and hanging to lightening rods. Forfeithed Haysack. Continued on to Basin. Reached Basin`s top under the sun and no wind!! Hiked out and slept at Johns Brook Lodge, 3.5 miles up the trailhead. Got in at 20h30. 13h hike that day. Hiked out the next morning.
