Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Peak 2620 from I-5 in Wolf Creek. Find Speaker Road at the intersection of the Frontage Road, the Wolf Creek I-5 Exit Southbound, and the Northbound I-5 entrance. Zero your odometer and go east on Speaker Road. At 4.2 miles the pavement ends, at 4.4 miles turn left on BLM 33-5-10.3, at 7.2 miles go straight, at 7.9 miles go straight, and at 10.3 miles reach an intersection with a cross road. Cross the road and park on the lesser muddy road that goes up a hill.
Hike up this lesser road, it soon becomes undriveable. I hiked up about a third of a mile and then bushwhacked a bit up to the left to the summit. There is another old road along the summit ridge that comes from another direction. No views because of the forest.
