Ascent Trip Report

Short bushwack to 2 areas .... .5 miles, 40 minutes for both areas.

The different reports give 3 Candidate High Point Areas for this County, I went to all 3 .... 2 here and the other at Haycock Mountain.

In the town of Coopersburg , junction 309/Passer Road, we drove east on Passer Road for 1 mile to a left on Forest Road, 1.24 miles right on Flint Hill Road (Flint Hill Farms is on the right), .56 miles arrive at Wimmer Road, parked the van here, this was my TH for Area 1 .... the county line is just ahead at 40 yards, I couldn't find the monument, must be in the thorny solid brush.

I walked east 50 yards to the Pipe Line right-of-way in Bucks County, turned right and followed the right-of-way 200 yards to the second set of yellow posts, GPS here was 40.53219,-75.33875.
I bushwacked west 200 yards in the open woods, just west of the house in Lehigh County. I stomped the Co Line (difficult to identify) and chose my spot at GPS 40.53235,75.34008.

From Wimmer Road we continued east on Flint Hill Road .37 miles to a right on Richlandtown Road, .25 miles right on Nemeth Road,.62 miles to the County Line Stone Monuments on both side of the Road. We continued 175 yards and drove into driveway on the right, house #915. The couple told us that they are in Bucks County and that the Co Line is behind their house, gave us permission to walk around.
The 970 foot contour is between this house and the house just north in Lehigh Co. I walked the area the best I could and chose my high spot at GPS 40.52841,-75.34641.

From here we moved on to Flint Hill before going over to Haycock Mountain.
