Ascent Trip Report

A grass field/bushwack ...... 300 yards, 15 minutes RT.

After visiting the Smith Benchmark we decided to visit this Peak, the other Candidate High Point for this County. We went back to Ascot/Califon corner and drove south on Califon for 1.43 miles to a fork where we stayed left and went another .3 miles and parked at the entrance to the "Hunterdon County Park, Nature and Activity Center".

The HP is 150+ yards across the road at a 300 degree compass line. I walked 100 yards across the tall grass field then another 50 Yards in open woods to the obvious flat summit ..... I stomped the area and chose my spot at a rock, GPS 40.75056,-74.86085. I added a small cairn to the rock.

"WALKING IS THE MOST ANCIENT EXERCISE AND STILL THE BEST MODERN EXERCISE."
