Ascent Trip ReportPretty straightforward and short climb. Drive into Powers Bluff County Park. Road climbs almost all the way to the top. There is a popular sledding/tubing hill right near the high point. There are some rocks to scramble up to the top to bag this one. There's also a nice view off into the distance. As you approach Powers Bluff you can definitely tell it's the tallest spot in the area. Nice little diversion on our way to a wedding in Marshfield.
When in the area you might want to also check out North Wood County Park. It's a very scenic little park with a swinging bridge over the Yellow River. Well....it used to swing more than now. A relatively new bridge has been installed. You can still get it to swing a little but not as much as with the previous bridge. Still a very nice spot.
