Ascent Trip ReportThere are several very nice camp sites along Morgan Creek just short of the trailhead. If you pick the right roads, a passenger sedan should be able to get here comfortably.
The hike is trail to a fence line and gate at about 10000', then X-C up a slope (you'll be tempted to go around the aspen grove, but it is an open, park-like woods and totally delightful to walk through), and then a long ridge walk to the cairn with some bits of trail you can follow for a while.
Spectacular views of the mountains of central Nevada. Don't get caught up here in a thunderstorm, though. There's nowhere to run to.
