Ascent Trip Reporta trail hike northerly ..... 1 mile, 35 minutes RT.
From the intersection of Carroll/Millbrook Roads in Mt Freedom we drove north on Millbrook for .47 miles to the TH Parking on the left, across the road is the Randolph Freedom Park and Museum.
From the TH the Randolph Trail heads generally north/northwest. At 100 yards I stayed right at the fork and climbed/crossed under the Power Line right-of-way. Just after the trail leaves/continues beyond the right-of-way into the woods I made a left, at about .3 miles from the TH, on the signed "High Point Trail" at a bench beside the trail. I climbed about 200 yards to the obvious summit, a lot of large downed trees from recent storms in the beautiful deciduous woods ...... an orange witness post with the BM "USC&G Survey, Guerin" embedded in concrete sits to one side of the actual HP, GPS 40.48056,-74.57708.
"THAT IS A KNOWN UNKNOWN." ...... Donald Rumsfeld
