Ascent of Burnt Hill on 2012-06-10| Date: | Sunday, June 10, 2012 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | | Peak: | Burnt Hill | | Location: | USA-Maine | | Elevation: | 3609 ft / 1100 m |
Ascent Trip ReportVERY BUGGY! Couldn't believe that above tree line the bugs were still feasting on us! Great views though, there aren't many places (if any) where you can see Sugarloaf, Abraham, Bigelow, the Crockers, and Spaulding without being on top of one of those peaks. The trail was very narrow most of the way, and the last half mile is above treeline on what I would call a "pile of rocks".
