Ascent Trip ReportDownes Brk crossing was more difficult than I expected, which only means that I had to take my boots off and wade.
Brook crossing can be avoided when water is high by starting on FR511 and joining/leaving the Potash Mtn Trail 0.7 mile from the Kanc (same distance by road or trail), just past a recent clearcut. FR511 is an active logging road; don't block the gate.
Summit and ledge views are great. Worst black flies of the season on summit; didn't stay long!
