Ascent Trip Report

We first tried to go to the house just south of the benchmark on Haese Lane. A car was leaving there and we talked to the man in it. He was a worker for the farm owner and agreed to lead us over to him at a barn on the SW corner of Blake and Park roads. When I spoke to him he directed me to Mr. Peters on Park Road. We found him, actually called Mr. Peterson, in his garden. He does own the highpoint and was aware of it. He showed us the obvious mowed path up a clearing cut for an underground pipe. At the crest of this cut we found the benchmark marked by an orange post just a foot or two east of the cleared forest. Mr. Peterson also told us to admire the mature trees in this stand. This was a real easy walk up highpoint owned by a knowledgeable owner.
