Ascent Trip Report

We hiked both North Tripyramid and Middle Tripyramid. It was very humid the whole way up, with temperatures in the low seventies at the trailhead, high fifties at the summit. It was very sunny out with very little wind. The mountain took a considerable amount of time to ascend due to two factors. The first issue was that there were several brook crossings. The water was very high due to the recent rain and the snow melt. We had to remove our boots and wade up to our thighs to cross two of the crossings. The water was freezing and the current was rough. On the decent, I fell in the brook and got most of my body wet. The second issue was me. I was not feeling up to par and lagged behind the group during the second half of the ascent. The leader had to stay behind with me on several occasions. The trail was moderate with a very steep section up to the ridge. The summit was small, but had a decent view. The Sabbaday Falls were very pretty.
