Ascent Trip ReportMy friend Jeremy and I hiked the Dix Range and hit Macomb Mountain first. It was a rather nice hike. Unfortunately the Elk Lake Lodge was closed, so we had to walk 2 miles from the gate to the trailhead. We got a late start of about 3 or 4 pm on Friday so we just setup camp at the base of the mountain. We were on top of the mountain by 10:30 am.
