Ascent Trip ReportI took the Elliott Barker Trail north from Apache Pass to a spot about 200 yards west of the highpoint. The bushwhack up the last hill took longer than expected because of a myriad of downed trees. There's a fence along the ridge line. The highest spot is about 50 feet east of the fence. (Trailhead can be easily reached from Angel Fire by heading up Valle Grande North to Chino Terrace, Buena Vista and then Brazos Drive. Park under the power lines. There's a National Forest gate about 100 yards up the hill. The trail south heads along the fence. For the trail north continue about another 150 yards west).
