Ascent Trip ReportHiked from Heart lake after a late start, 1030am, up the Phelps trail to the summit. After a short break we descended Marcy, cooked a chili and climbed Skylight. The weather began to change, so we quickly decided to head down, though nothing ever developed. We headed back to Heart Lake via Lake Tears of the Clouds and Lake Arnold which was punctuated by a particularly beautiful section of trail. This route back was very long and at times rough but made for a great loop. Back at the car by 9pm.
