Ascent Trip Report

We made time on the way home to Basel from a weekend in Bavaria for an ascent of Hochgrat. The cable car from near Seibis is obviously very popular and has a giant car park. It delivers you to a reasonable restaurant with a great viewing terrasse about 15 minutes below the peak. It is very simple to walk up to the peak on a choice of paths. We went up the steeper, rockier one along the ridge and returned on the well made stepped one on a lower line.
