Ascent Trip Report

Couldn't get past the lower gate (locked) at Big John Flat, which added distance. Cold and overcast, with some snow flurries. Upper mountain was covered in Sastrugi, which offered good grip in rubber soles. Temp at the summit was approx 21 degrees F with 30+ mph sustained winds - unseasonably cold for late May. I saw no mountain goats. Collin hurt his knee slipping on a snow bank blocking the road while eating Pringles during the descent.
