Ascent Trip Report

I did this on my return from Cuchillo de Fernando (see my trip report for that one for road directions). I parked at a wide spot in the road on FR 153 about a quarter mile west of the turn off FR76. The topo maps show an old FR road heading north from here to the intersection with the South Boundary Trail on the SE flank of Osha Mt. But this road was abandoned long ago and only remnants of it survive. For the first half mile or so, with only occasional interruptions, it was indeed mostly a road walk, but then the road was obscured by what looks like a massive rock slide. I bushwhacked across that. on my way back I discovered that more of the road still exists (more or less) downhill (eg east) of this spot. I came out on the South Boundary trail and headed up that for a couple of hundred yards and then along the east side of the ridge with the hp along occasional bits of another abandoned logging track. When I was about 0.11 from the hp coordinates I bushwacked steeply up the last hill.
