Ascent Trip ReportMy friend Paul and I attempted to hike up Moosilauke via the Benton trail, but the fates conspired against us. The road to the trailhead was washed out (probably from hurricane Irene), so we hike about a mile and a half to the trailhead. Then when we finally made it to tunnel brook on the trail, the brook was too high and fast for us to cross safely, so we turned around.
Next time, we'll just hike the AT up.
