Ascent Trip Report

The Manzanita Canyon Trail is the second of four trails heading up from the Taos Ski Valley Rd. The lower portion is well maintained and not especially steep (ca. 11-12%) but it gets quite a bit steeper and less well maintained after the first couple of miles. Eleven stream crossings will slow you down. I turned around at 11,200 as knee high snow drifts obscured the trail.
