Ascent of Stratham Hill on 2012-05-20| Date: | Sunday, May 20, 2012 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Stratham Hill | | Location: | USA-New Hampshire | | Elevation: | 280 ft / 85 m |
Ascent Trip ReportI parked in the Stratham Hill Park parking lot and then searched for a trail to the top.
I took the Lincoln Trail to the summit. It was rather short at about a tenth of a mile. It passed through woods and went by a few benches and a plaque, and then there was an opening at the end of the trail. After a few minutes, I arrived at the summit.
Stratham Hill's summit is very open and contains a few benches and a very large observation tower. I climbed the tower to get some good views of the seacoast and farther.
I carefully descended the tower, checked out the summit some more, and went back down the Lincoln Trail and to my truck.
