Ascent Trip ReportA GROUP VISIT FOR MY FINAL MA CoHP. I must note that I earnestly started County High Pointing in MA just last year (2011) and I would have finished last year if Pine Hill wasn't in a military facility (Camp Edwards - requires access permission from above). I have now completed the CoHPs of 7 States (The 6 New England States plus New York).
I hooked up with the group leader, Adam Helman, who made all of the arrangements for this visit. His group met at 15h00 hours at the Camp Edwards main entrance on Connery Avenue, Charles Laflamme our Camp Edwards host was there to meet us ...... Adam Helman, Ethan Paquin, Steve Brown, David Olson, Ken Oeser and me.
We followed Charles in our respective cars to the summit, the visit took all of 20 minutes. We thank Charles for coming in on his day off to look after the needs of a bunch of strangers with a passion for County High Pointing.
It was nice to put a face to familiar names, I thank Adam for all of his work.
I will overnight locally at Shawme-Crowell State Forest Campground before starting my return driving trip in the morning.
