Ascent Trip Report

Back from Mt. Fuji....8 hours of suffering, managed to get to the *true* summit which *of course* is located at the opposite end of the crater rim from where I climbed up (2 hours round trip)...first bus to Mt. Fuji arrives at 10h15, last bus leaves at 15h30, maybe Sarp can get up and down the mountain in that time...so I hitched a ride with a bus full of Chinese travellers, but the bus broke and had to be replaced, thus missed last train/bus to Tokyo...managed for the first time to get money at an ATM in Japan... staying in the lounge of a pretty shitty hostel in Kawaguchiko, Station Inn, except for the awesome indoor onsen on the 4th floor that they kept open just for me (;
And I met two french guys, Remy and Axel, who were coming back from Fuji without getting to the summit because they arrived 3 hours after me (and kind of ill-equipped)...their bus from Tokyo got delayed somehow....anyway, they managed to hitch a ride on the same Chinese bus while we were waiting for the replacement bus....now they are staying at the same hostel at an actual room, because I had to get money from the ATM first, see above, and by then, every room was taken....but I'm pretty sure they haven't discovered the indoor onsen yet...
