Ascent Trip Report

An ATV trail/bushwack generally northeasterly from the TH on Dagger Lake Road parking, 8.7km from the paved Livingstone Lake Road ...... 19.2km, 7h15 hours TR including all breaks.

After yesterday's hike to Hastings COHP I drove to the junction of Livingston Lake Road and Dagger lake Access Road at the northwest corner of Lake Livingston where I met up with Derek Standen. We got-acquainted/discussed-today's-trip and overnighted, in our respective cars, at the parking for the official Algonquin Park Canoe Access Point for Livingston Lake ... we had planned an early start because of a few unknowns.

I am really glad that I decided to partner-up with Derek for this great outing in Ontario's beautiful Algonquin Park. This was a no brainer for me, as all I had to do was follow Derek's footsteps ..... I couldn't have asked for a better leader. See his excellent/detailed TR. The driveable Dagger Lake Access Road (8.7km) really helped to shorten the trip.

On the drive through Algonquin Park (hwy 60, coming and going) I stopped 3 times, with the rest of the travelers, to view/photograph moose drinking by the road side.
