Ascent Trip ReportLonesome lake to Fishin Jimmy to Kinsman trails
Awesome weather, some ice and plenty of mud
9:45AM from Lafayette Campground , lunch at noon on North Kinsman,
Summit is marked only by a rock cairn
There is a nice outlook a couple hundred yards south where we rested for an hour
Returned to lonesome lonesome lake hut and hung out there for an hour and changed into some dry clothes
We reached the car around 4:15 pm Jimmy was feeling the pace and we have been sore for a couple days
The old timers tell us we should have come up from the west side...better trails.
These included quite a few rock scrambles, tough on the knees coming down.
