Ascent Trip ReportThe Taconic Crest Trail was a much drier hiking trail that allowed for a bit more comfortable jogging than the nearby road trails. A detour to Cranberry Pond on the way back led to fresh beaver works, with a family of four swimming and slapping water with downed tree and cut limb surrounding slopes of pond and large built lodge across the water from the Taconic Skyline Trail.
