Ascent Trip Report

I took the trail from the trailhead just north of the ski area parking. I had done it once before. It's longer than going up the ski slopes but a more pleasant hike. There are a couple of trail junctions; veer left at these. The trail climbs quite slowly for the first mile and a quarter, less than 400 feet elevation gain. After that it climbs slightly more quickly, but the only part of the ascent that's steep is the last few hundred feet up from the ridge line to the ski structures grouped around the Lookout knob. i continued on wirh an unsuccessful attempt at Sierra Blanca. My ascent statistics are to the top of Lookout and then to the saddle between Lookout and SB. The descent I included with my Sierra Blanca report.
