Ascent Trip Report

Nice long hike made a bit tougher with the lower starting point than the typical (Mahogany Flat) trailhead. First trip for me over 9000' since late last summer, and decent speed bumped the ascent quality up a little. Spectacular view, truly; though it would have been unbelievable if it weren't so hazy that day. No camping at Charcoal Kilns, BTW. Most cars could make Mahogany Flat I suspect, but we couldn't tell at night. There are camping areas between Charcoal Kilns and Mahogany Flat, also.
