|Peak:||Boundary Mountain 474.34|
| Elevation:||2720 ft / 829 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThe obvious highest point of this summit, located right-on the USA/CAN Boundary Line, is identified with a benchmark embedded in rock "UNITED STATES/CANADA NO 474.34". I did this climb together-with MOUNT D'URBAN, see its TR of this date for the hiking directions.
On the way I visited/checked-out the ME-NH-QC TRIPOINT.
My goal, to high point all of the USA/CA Boundary Peaks (and where necessary, add them to the PB Library as I do them) from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic, will take a long time. I try to make as many trips per year as possible. With this Boundary Monument I have reached the QC/ME Border and have visited 36 Boundary Peaks so far. I have a long way to go with the more difficult sections ahead ... the research involved for picking the peaks and its access is the biggest part of the work.
Overall the private property owners have been very understanding ... always a worry but not an issue. My biggest problem is "too many items on TTD LIST".
