Ascent Trip Report1st. high peak of 2012 on a gorgeous but chilly late April day. Met David and Don at the HPIC at 9am and was at the summit by noon. Trail was mostly light mud near the bottom below where Marcy Dam used to be and progressed to thin icy sections and then mostly packed snow after the junction to Tabletop. Summit had nice views of Marcy through leafless white birch trees. Temps warmed on the descent making for an easy trip down. Back at the HPIC by 3pm.
