Ascent Trip ReportRecent LIDAR analysis reveals that the liner along SR 674 is the only hp candidate. The highest spot on the road or the road edge just west of it may be the highest spot, ( I wandered up and down the side of the road) but I wasn't quite sure because there's a densely wooded area immediately west of the road at the critical spot. While the land slopes away slightly to the west from the road, there's enough variation in area covered by vegetation, briars and trees that a compulsive county highpointer might want to wander into this thicket to be sure of reaching the right spot. It's not pleasant--lots of thorn bushes--but my guess is that the area amidst the thorn bushes just a few feet west of the road is maybe a foot higher than the road or the area along it.
