Ascent Trip ReportThis hp is in what you may find to be a surprisingly hilly and wooded area if your image of Ohio is all flat cornfields. Bob Schwab's detailed directions will get you through the maze of country roads that meander at odd angles frequently necessitating roundabout routes to get to spots only a few hundred yards apart as the crow flies or the gps tracks. I parked just off of Clapper Hollow Road next to a new corrugated steel structure and just before the intersection with Carroll Road. Thus, I started slightly north of the high point coordinates (while Bob started slightly south if I understand his description correctly). The highest spot I found was a dirt mound just southwest of the steel structure, but it is probably manmade debris from construction. I wandered the field quite a bit, both because I wasn't certain about the high point and because it turned sunny after a rainy morning and I enjoyed the walk and the view. I agree with Bob that the small contour north of this field is lower.
