Ascent Trip ReportThe plan was to take the Espinozo trail from Japatul Velley over to the saddle southwest of the peak and ascend the peak from there. Well, we started down the wrong trail. I had a group of five counting me. When I pulled out my map/compass and noticed we were not headed in the right direction several hikers were way ahead on the trail. By the time I reached and turned them around we had traveled quite a distance. This was an unusually hot day for February. Once back at the vehicles around 11:00 AM I was not able to get anyone to consider heading out the right trail to the peak, and with it being so hot I was not that keen on it myself.
