Ascent Trip Report

I decided spur of the moment to grab my son, and drive from Albany to Mt. Tam to catch the sunset, bag a peak and possibly do some picture taking. On the way up the mountain, there were a bunch of star gazers out with a wide compliment of telescopes and such. After we parked and paid, Teegan and I bolted up the hill. He did excellent over the rocky part of the trail and we raced the sunset. When we got to the peak, the sun was a sliver of red on the ocean and we enjoyed the view. we stopped to not e the benchmarks and take some pictures and then headed back down the trail. All in all, a fun trip up. I would love to go back with more time to explore the numerous side trails and the middle and west summits as well.
