Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Lily Pond around 9:30AM with a party of 7. We spotted car at the Pine Bend trailhead for the return and headed up the Livermore Trail. The livermore trail is pretty easy, though there was some severe erosion on the trail.
The section climbing up to Livermore Pass was bit steep, but not bad.
The terrain of the Livermore is fantastic, some great little creeks and ponds, and some beautiful forest, definitely a great approach.
The trail flattens out after the pass, and leads to an old logging road that seems to take you away from the Tripyramids, but it twists around leads to the trailheads of both the Scaur Ridge trail, and the North Slide trail. The view of the slide from the trail made it look very icy and difficult; we doubted whether it would be doable, but this turned out to be misleading.
The North Slide trail was in some serious need of maintenance, but the terrain was nice. The slide starts as just a drainage, and eventually gets wider until it opens up into the full slide. It was still mostly covered in snow, and a layer of ice under it.

In general we were able to climb up the snow, though if you started sliding at all, you would wipe the snow off and you couldn't get a grip. An ice axe or ice tools would have made it very easy to get right up. Cramopns would have been a bit overkill as there was no longer a full coverage of snow and ice.
The views were fantastic from the slide, and once it opened up into the full slide, the views just got better, and the terrain got a little bit less steep. The slide got more gravely and loose near the top, and from the top of the slide, it's just a short hike up to the summit.

We (Schweitzer, Andi, and I) waited at the summit for our friends that took the Scaur Ridge trail, and once they made it and we had some lunch, we made our way over to Middle and South peaks. Some great views along the way, not much to say other than that.
Alice on Middle Tripyramid.
After bagging all 3 peaks, we headed back over North and down the Scaur Ridge to the Pine Bend trail. The descent was pretty annoying with neither a clean trail, or a fully snow covered trail. Lots of ice on the way down. Pretty uneventful descent back to the Kanc where Joel and Julez were waiting at the car have headed down early from the ridge.
Per an agreement made during the descent, Alice kissed the pavement when we finally got back to the car.
Dinner at the common man, and some rocking sing-along the rest of the drive home.
