Ascent Trip Report

From Hwy 101 opposite Klahowya CG turn south on Cooper Ranch Road and follow it 2.2 miles to its junction with Mary Clark Road. Continue on Cooper Ranch Road (which requires a left at that junction) another 0.7 miles to a crossroad of sorts - there are gravel roads to both left and right. Park where you don't block any road.

The road to your left (not on my topo maps; see the attached GPS track) leads almost to the summit of Bigler Mountain. It is gated at the bottom and posted against motor travel by the owner (Rayonier), although the gate was closed but unlocked when I was there. I chose to walk it. The road leads to the last saddle before the summit (2440'+); from here continue through open clear cut and into the edge of the open woods about 100' higher to the summit of the peak.

There are decent views from the hike due to the clear cuts along the way, but the summit is in the tall timber.
