Ascent Trip ReportFrom Hwy 101 opposite Klahowya CG turn south on Cooper Ranch Road and follow it 2.2 miles to its junction with Mary Clark Road. Continue on Cooper Ranch Road (which requires a left at that junction) another 0.45 miles to spur 2923-070 and turn right. The GPS track attached starts at this point - you will follow spur 070 just under 3 miles to a lesser spur on the left, which you can follow uphill 0.5 miles to its high point (there is a gate on the spur, but as of my visit it had been open for years judging from the vegetation). There is parking at the high point. (Note: My GPS track shows the approach drive diverging from and returning to the mapped road - I don't think the road actually did that; I expect I had a faulty location fix in the timber at that point.)
I walked back down the road briefly to the first bend to the left and turned right on a ripped ex-road heading toward the summit. There is brush and downed logs to deal with, and I often found it easier off the old road bed, but it's not a long walk to the top. My track visits several candidates for the highest point, but I think the first one I got to was actually the top.
If you're hiking for the views, this is not the one to visit.
