Ascent Trip Report

Squirrel Hill is at the west edge of New Florence on State Game Lands 42, but there doesn't appear to be any direct public access from this side. From Pa. 711 I took Squirrel Hill St. (sounded promising) which dead ended in some driveways. I wandered onto 24th st. and asked a woman on a riding mower if there was public access tot he state game lands. She said no, but if I was walking up she invited me to park in her driveway and walk up. Not difficult but quite a bit of underbrush and thorns; will be harder in a few weeks.
