Ascent Trip Report

This is a really nice hike with great views along a relatively gentle ridgeline for most of the trip. There is a bit of rockiness on the initial climb from the road to the ridge, but much of that can be mitigated by ascending to the northeast instead of due east. The terrain is mostly open but there are some shrubs up to a foot high, so desert gaiters may be helpful.
