Ascent Trip ReportFound a Gordon MacLeod/Barbara Lilley register on the summit from 2001. 6 ascents since then plus me today. Last ascent was in Oct 2010. Kind of surprised since this small peak is right across the street from Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Center Pickel Meadows. Note the different spelling between BM Pickle and Pickel Meadows. Not sure the story behind that... Very windy and cold. Snow was blowing in but not sticking to the ground or coming down very hard. Went from CA-108 to the summit without stepping in any snow. Only a few snow patches on north-facing slopes in sheltered areas, all less than 1 ft deep.
