Ascent Trip Report

This was the most frustrating drive up ever. Should have just hiked up the darn ski slope. The resort was still 'sort' of open. The North Gate was closed, so I couldn't head up that way. Headed back out of the main resort area and worked my way up to the Village. This worked out better, but ate up time. Shaefer Head is going to have to wait until next time. For those that haven't been to this area, on the way to Seven Springs resort, there is a nice little winery on Rt. 31 (Glades Pike Winery). A bit further west on Rt 31 is the Laurel Mountain Inn, good food for great prices. I would much rather go back here and eat than anywhere in the overpriced Seven Springs resort.
