Ascent Trip ReportWhat a great trip! The road to the camp is relatively good (a passenger car can make it) and only about 10 miles were unpaved. The campground was great (clean, running water, flush toilets, picnic tables, quiet). This is a great place to start for the peak because the peak blocks the sun for the entire ascent. The trail is in good shape and easy to follow. The ramp above the end of the trail is also very easy to find/see and follow. The climb is doable without rope, but most would want one for descent anyway, and if you have it, you might as well use it for ascending as well. The part above the climb is where I found routefinding a bit challenging. First you head right, until you can make a left (over/around a class 3 boulder). Once you do that keep heading up and to the left and beware false trails that may go right. If you find any more class 3 (or worse), back up and find the correct trail.
The views from the top are exceptional.
